Two cyclists climbing a dirt track between olive groves

The routes

Three courses, one same ground

All three start and finish in the same place and cover the same ground. What changes is how long it lasts and how much climbing stacks up. Choose with a cool head: the surface in la Vall d'Albaida stops forgiving improvisation somewhere around kilometre 60.

Legendaria Pro

The physical and mental limit

110 kilometres and almost 2,900 metres of elevation gain. This is the course that defines the race and the one that settles the overall classification. The difficulty isn't in any single climb, it's in the accumulation: five hours in, every loose-stone ramp costs double and every bad line is paid for in watts you no longer have. It demands real endurance work, a race nutrition plan you've already tested, and the judgement to know when not to attack.

Legendaria Adventure

The essence of off-road

88 kilometres with more than 2,000 metres of elevation gain. It shares with Pro the sections that define the terrain best and skips the longest stretch of accumulated climbing. It's still a serious distance — 2,000 metres don't climb themselves — but it leaves room to look up at the landscape and cross the line wanting to come back. It's the one most riders will pick, and probably for good reason.

Legendaria Challenge

The great personal challenge

72 kilometres and 1,500 metres of elevation gain. The one that lets you push from the start, because the duration doesn't punish a badly paced effort as hard. It runs on the same tracks as the other two: nobody leaves here without knowing what gravel in la Vall d'Albaida really feels like. A good first time, and a good place to set a mark if you already know what you're doing.

The terrain

What all three share

Dirt and loose-stone track through olive groves and vineyards, with stretches of back-road tarmac linking the valleys. You ride between 169 and 870 metres of altitude, so no climb is a long mountain pass: it's linked ramps, one after another, with no let-up.
